Note that if your Windows’ user account does not have Administrator privileges then you will receive an error message: “Cannot Enable or Disable the "Run on Windows startup" option. Please check your Security Policy settings and make sure that StarReminder is allowed to read and write to the Windows registry”.
You can either:
- Elevate your Windows’ user account to Administrator and check the preference as instructed in the previous paragraph. Additionally you can use the "Run as Administrator" Windows option, or
- You can add StarReminder in Windows’ Start up folder so it can run on Windows Start up.
Add StarReminder in Windows startup folder on Windows 8
(note: simular instructions apply to Windows 10, also)
